MIESAU, Germany — Members of the 212th Combat Support Hospital on Wednesday conducted a field training exercise, including a mass casualty simulation, as part of an effort to become the first American combat support hospital to earn NATO certification.
Hospital personnel were tasked with treating several simulated patients in a variety of medical scenarios. The evaluators took notes, shot video and stills, and asked questions about 212th procedures.
The evaluation team was set to deliver its “first impression” report on Thursday; the final evaluation report will go to the Allied commander of operations.
