Command Sgt. Maj. Gary Bronson has been chosen to serve as the next senior enlisted leader for U.S. Army Africa.
Bronson is set to join the Southern European Task Force in Vicenza, Italy, after serving with the Directorate of Interior Affairs with Multi-National Security Transition Command — Iraq, according to a news release. During almost three decades in the Army, he has served in multiple locations in the United States, Germany and South Korea. This will be his first assignment in Italy.
He replaces Command Sgt. Maj. Earl Rice, who takes over as the top enlisted leader at Fort Benning, Ga.
