Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet awarded the USS Kitty Hawk the Golden Anchor for exceeding the command’s annual retention goals for fiscal year 2007, according to a Navy release.
“This award means we met the Navy’s retention and attrition goals for the year, only one other Pacific Fleet Carrier won the award,” said Senior Chief Charles Wright, a Navy counselor aboard the Kitty Hawk.
This is the second year in a row Kitty Hawk has been awarded the Golden Anchor.
