NEWMARKET — An 18-year-old was injured after he was struck in the head with an unknown object while on the dance floor inside De Niro’s nightclub Dec. 27, according to a Suffolk Constabulary news release.

The incident happened between 12:30 and 1 a.m. at the popular nightclub on High Street, which is often frequented by local U.S. military personnel.

The offender, described as a white male around 20 years old, also grabbed and punched the victim, who suffered a cut ear and an abrasion to the face in the attack, the release stated.

Man in group head-butts delivery driver in HaverhillHAVERHILL — A delivery driver was attacked when he came across a group of men and women looking inside his van in this town about 18 miles southeast of Cambridge.

The confrontation occurred on Quendon Place around 10 p.m. Dec. 22, according to a Suffolk Constabulary news release.

One man, described as white, around 5-feet-7, of medium build and wearing a dark-colored hoodie and dark blue jeans, head-butted the driver, leaving him with a cut lip and chin. The group then left, the release stated.

Man left with minor injuries after being punched in faceBURY ST. EDMUNDS — A man was left with minor injuries after being attacked by an unknown offender along Station Hill around 7:10 p.m. Dec. 19, according to a Suffolk Constabulary news release.

The victim was repeatedly punched in the face by the offender, described as a white male in his early 20s, around 5-feet tall and of medium build. He made off in a red car driven by a second white male, the release said.

Electronics stolen from Stowmarket homeSTOWMARKET — A burglar or burglars made off with a 50-inch Sony LCD TV and other electronics after breaking into a home in this town about 15 miles east of Bury St. Edmunds.

The burglary at the home on Violet Hill Road occurred between 2 p.m. Dec. 17 and 4:15 a.m. Dec. 20. A black Xbox video game console, a silver laptop and a table also were stolen, according to a Suffolk Constabulary news release.
