Drivers should expect delays near U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz installations next week as a result of the annual force protection exercise, which starts Monday and runs through Aug. 15.

Gate congestion and vehicle inspections are likely. People traveling to garrison bases should carry two forms of ID, allow more time to reach their destination and consider carpooling.

Services on base may also be limited, so call ahead.

Affected locations are:

  • Daenner Kaserne

  • Einsiedlerhof Air Station

  • Kapaun Air Station

  • Kleber Kaserne

  • Landstuhl Regional Medical Center

  • Pulaski Barracks

  • Panzer Kaserne

  • Rhine Ordnance Barracks

  • Sembach Kaserne

  • Vogelweh Housing Area
