Police in Rheinland-Pfalz launched a speed control campaign Monday, with stepped-up enforcement across the Kaiserslautern Military Community.

In addition to more speed cameras, officers are using handheld laser guns to clock drivers, according to Rheinland-Pfalz police. If you’re flagged, expect to be pulled over by a patrol car farther down the road.

Checkpoints will be most common in 30, 50 and 70 kph zones, as highways are considered too dangerous for this type of stop, according to the police.

The campaign runs through Aug. 10.
