Kaiserslautern will reverse the direction of two one-way streets in the Kotten district starting the week of July 14, the city announced.

Under the new layout, drivers will enter Weissenburgstrasse from Pariser Strasse instead of Wörthstrasse. Access to Am Schänzchen will shift to Weissenburgstrasse instead of Kottenschanze.

The change is designed to improve safety by eliminating the unprotected merge from Weissenburgstrasse onto Pariser Strasse. Traffic will now flow toward intersections with better visibility or traffic lights, officials said.
