Train service will be significantly disrupted at Kaiserslautern central station on weekends from May 17 to June 10, Deutsche Bahn announced.

Extensive overhead line and track renewal work will cause train cancellations and bus replacements across all lines serving the station.

During the weekends in this period, construction will affect the Kaiserslautern–Landstuhl and Hochspeyer–Neustadt routes, necessitating partial or complete suspension of train services. All regional and S-Bahn lines will be substituted by buses on certain segments.

Routes toward Kusel, Lauterecken, Pirmasens and the Alsenz Valley Railway are also affected. DB Regio will provide specific information for each affected line separately, the service said.

Passengers are advised to allow extra travel time and check local station notices. Detailed information on schedule changes is available on the DB Navigator app and at https://www.bahn.de/.

Replacement bus stops may not be directly adjacent to stations; station maps indicating these stops are available at www.bahnhof.de. Bus schedules may differ from train schedules.
