There’s plenty to do near the KMC this weekend. The Medieval Market in Freisen, about 30 minutes’ drive from Kaiserslautern, features music, dancers, food, craftspeople Saturday through Wednesday. Kaiserslautern Roller Derby takes on Stuttgart Valley Roller Derby in the sports venue of the Schulzentrum Süd in Kaiserslautern on Saturday at 3 p.m. About 16 food trucks are scheduled to be on hand for the Street Food event in Landstuhl behind the Stadthalle today through Sunday (it’s being held in conjunction with the Sickingen Trade Fair, featuring about 50 service, craft and trades exhibitors on Saturday and Sunday). There’ll be a Build Your Own Pizza kids event for Month of the Military Child at the Pulaski Express Saturday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
