Expect traffic delays Saturday for 1. FCK home match

()

1. FC Kaiserslautern is hosting SV Wehen Wiesbaden on Saturday at Fritz Walter Stadium for a game that likely will mean heavy traffic throughout the downtown area, limited parking and possible road closures, according to German police.

So far, more than 40,000 advance tickets have been sold for the match, which kicks off at 1 p.m. Parking around the stadium will be limited, and police recommend anyone attending the game to use “Park & Ride” lots located in the Kaiserslatuern-Ost area and at the University of Kaiserslautern. The shuttle buses run from those locations to Betzenberg two hours before the game starts.

Another transportation option is Deutsche Bahn, which is running special trains on Saturday. The timetable is published at: https://s.rlp.de/F5MbV. More information about match day can be found at: https://fck.de.
