Speed cameras today are posted on Pariser Strasse near the Berlinerstrasse overpass and on B48 in Hochspeyer according to online portal blitzer.de. Another camera is posted on B270 in Schopp, Westpfalz Police said.

German police, meanwhile, slated to launch its nationwide “speed-week” traffic safety campaign, according to German Automobile Club ADAC.

This intensive enforcement effort aims to crack down on speeding, a major cause of accidents, by setting up increased radar checks across the country. The campaign will run from April 15 to April 21, with a focus on accident-prone sections and areas of special hazard, such as near schools.

The highlight of the campaign is set for April 19, when intensified radar checks will commence in the early morning hours and continue well into the night.
