Highway A6 will be fully closed in both directions of travel near the Kaiserslautern West interchange from Thursday at 8 p.m. until Friday at 5 a.m., due to urgent road surface repairs, city officials announced.

Traffic will be rerouted via the parallel lanes adjacent to the construction site at the Kaiserslautern West interchange.

Repairs are focused on renewing the worn road surfaces with new asphalt in both directions towards Mannheim and Saarbrücken, the German Highway Administration said in a statement.

Motorists are advised to plan for potential delays and consider alternative routes during this period.
