Somewhere in South Korea, Jan. 26, 1957: Medics of Medical Company, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division treat a “wounded” soldier in the field. The medics participated in a field training exercise using combat scenarios to prepare the medics for service in a combat zone. The regiment’s I and R platoons played the role of the aggressors as the infantry medics learned to carry out their duties under fire.
