While the endowment has raised and received the funds necessary for their intrepid endeavor, it still needs one thing – you! (Call of Duty Endowment)

For 15 years, Call of Duty’s Endowment has been helping veterans find new careers. It has helped a total of 125,000 veterans find jobs after dutifully serving their nation.

This year the Endowment is celebrating their anniversary not by throwing a major rager, but by increasing the total amount of veterans that the Endowment wants to help. The goal is to place 15,000 veterans into career positions.

In this month’s effort to raise funds, Call of Duty is going to sell the Knight Recon pack on Call of Duty’s marketplace. It’s pretty sick if you have seen the character skin, and if you haven’t — look below to see it.

All the proceeds from your purchase goes to the endowment. This year the folks at the Endowment have much to celebrate after Kenneth C. Griffin, the founder and CEO of Citadel and Founder of Griffin Catalyst, gave the single largest donation in the Endowment’s history by shelling out $ 2.5 million.

To make the occasion, Senior Director of the Call of Duty Endowment Helene Imperiale answered some questions from Stars and Stripes.

How will the recent donation towards the Endowment be used?

Every cent donated to the Endowment goes directly to our mission of placing veterans into high-quality jobs. For every $618 raised, the Endowment can place a veteran into a job. Through Ken Griffin’s donation alone, we will be able to place more than 4,000 veterans into high-quality jobs.

Will there be a difference in approach to reach the goal of aiding 15,000 veterans as opposed to previous years?

Our goal always remains the same - help veterans find the high-quality jobs they deserve after their service. Our unique, accountability-based donation model–our Seal of Distinction Program– ensures we only support the highest performing nonprofits that place veterans into the positions they have earned. This allows us to maximize funds raised and help as many veterans as possible.

What is the best way to reach out for a veteran to reach out for support?
