Here’s a list of some of the restaurants and other businesses across the country offering free food or discounts to veterans and active-duty service members on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

Double-check with your local outlets to make sure they are participating in the offer and what proof of service they require. Some offer discounts to veterans but not their family members. If your favorite place isn’t on the list, check with it anyway just to make sure it isn’t offering Veterans Day discounts or free food. Many do.

Whether you served in a desk job in CONUS or close-quarter combat in the Sandbox, you earned these benefits, so enjoy them!

Applebee’s — Applebee’s is offering active-duty military and veterans a free meal from a select menu on Veterans Day. Bring along proof of service. Check Applebee’s website for details. Contact your local Applebee’s to learn about any Veterans Day offerings in your neighborhood. Offers may vary based on local mandates and guidelines.

Bar Louie — Active-duty military and veterans get a free Craft Burger on Nov. 11 with a valid ID. Dine-in only.

bb.q Chicken — The Korean fried chicken restaurant will celebrate Veterans Day – and the history of Korean fried chicken, which originated with American service members who fried chicken with their Korean counterparts during the Korean War due to a lack of available turkey on Thanksgiving – with 25% off for all veterans and service members, all day Nov. 11. A portion of sales that day also will be donated to the Honor Flight Network.

Beef O Brady’s — Veterans eat for free Nov. 11 (up to $12) with proof of service.

BIGGBY — One free 24-ounce brewed coffee for veterans on Veterans Day.

BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse — Active-duty military and veterans receive a coupon for a free entrée when they stop by on Nov. 11. Coupon is redeemable at a future visit.

Black Angus Steakhouse — Active-duty military and veterans get a free meal on Nov. 10 at all locations from noon-3 p.m.

Bombshells Restaurant & Bar — All 12 locations in Texas will offer free entrees for veterans and a 20% discount on other items. Families accompanying the veterans, as well as active-duty service members and their families, will receive a 20% discount on entrees and other items. Alcoholic beverages are excluded. Bruegger’s Bagels — Veterans and active-duty military get a free hot or iced coffee (any size) with a purchase on Nov. 11.

Buffalo Wild Wings — Participating Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants will offer 10 free boneless wings and fries for all veterans and active-duty service members. Dine-in only, and military ID required.

California Pizza Kitchen — Veterans get a complimentary entrée and beverage from a prix fixed menu when they dine in and show proof of service Nov. 11, and a buy-one-get-one-free offer that can be redeemed Nov. 12-21.

The Capital Wheel (National Harbor, Md.) — From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., active-duty and retired service members can take a free spin. Accompanying family members are eligible for the military discount. Military ID is required.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill — Veterans and active-duty military that dine in on Nov. 11 receive an appetizer or dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage with military ID.

Casey’s — Veterans receive a free coffee or fountain drink of any size on Veterans Day. The same offer will be available year-round starting this year to active-duty military. 

Cattlemens — Current or former service members can sign up on or before Nov. 11 at cattlemens.com to receive a certificate for a free sirloin steak dinner. Offer is valid from Nov. 12-22 for dine-in at California Cattlemens locations only. Military IDs or proof of service required.

Cracker Barrel — All guests will receive 25% off military-themed products through Nov. 13.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit — Veterans and active-duty military get a free pulled pork sandwich on Nov. 11. Valid in-store, and online/app for carryout.

Dollar General — From Nov. 9-12, veterans and active-duty military can receive a 20% discount on qualifying in-store purchases.

Dunkin’ Donuts — Veterans and active-duty members can receive one free doughnut while supplies last.

Einstein Bros. Bagels — Veterans and active-duty military get a free hot or iced coffee (any size) with a purchase in-store on Nov. 11.

Famous Dave’s — Veterans and active-duty military can receive a free Georgia Chopped Pork Sandwich with side Nov. 11. Available all day for dine-in, to go and online ordering.

Gaylord National Resort — From Nov. 8-15, all active and retired service members can save up to 50% off on ICE! tickets using code MILITARY. ICE! is a walk-through frozen attraction kept at 9 degrees and showcasing 13 scenes from the holiday TV special, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” Note that select dates apply for the 50% off discount. Giorgio’s Italian Food and Pizzeria — Veterans and active-duty military enjoy 15% off on Nov. 11 at the California restaurant.

Golden Corral — Golden Corral is hosting their Military Appreciation Night on Nov. 14 from 5 p.m. to close. This includes a free “thank you” meal when dining in. Check local outlet for details.

Goodyear — From Nov. 10-14, all veterans, active-duty military and first responders with valid ID can receive 10% off tires and services, which can be combined with all current offers. They can also receive free tire, alignment, brake, fuel system, and fluid checks at Goodyear Auto Service Centers and Just Tires company owned locations nationwide from Nov. 10-14. Great Clips — Veterans and active service members can go into any U.S. Great Clips salon Nov. 10 and 11 and get a free haircut or a free haircut card to use later.

Hacienda Mexican Restaurants — Veterans get 1 free Wet Burrito on Nov. 11. Hacienda Mexican Restaurants are located in Indiana.

Hof’s Hut — Veterans enjoy a complimentary Hofburger or pancakes combo on Nov. 10-11 for dine-in only. Plus, they will receive a $10 nonus card, valid Nov. 24-Dec. 3. Hof’s Hut is located in California.

Hooters — All active-duty and retired military, with proof of service, are invited to stop in for a free meal with a beverage purchase at participating locations. The Hooters Veterans Day Menu includes: Buffalo Chicken Salad, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Hooters Burger and 10-Piece Boneless Wings.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar — Veterans and active-duty military get a free classic burger on Nov. 11. Available for dine-in only.

IHOP — Veterans and active-duty military are being offered free red, white and blueberry pancakes or a pancake combo from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with presentation of a military ID or proof of service. Dine-in only.

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant — Veterans and active-duty military enjoy one complimentary menu item chosen from the following list: salmon cakes, chicken lettuce wraps, herb grilled chicken, shrimp & grits, red chili shrimp, country schnitzel, shrimp bucatini or a double stack burger. Offer valid on Nov. 11.

Jasper’s — Veterans get a complimentary entrée on the evening of Nov. 11. Jasper’s is located in Texas.

Kolache Factory — Veterans and active-duty military get a free kolache and a cup of coffee on Nov. 11 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Kona Grill — Veterans and active-duty military can receive 50% off food from Nov. 10-Nov. 13. Dine-in only.

Logan’s Roadhouse — Logan’s Roadhouse will be offering all veterans a free meal off its special Veterans Day menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 11. Dine-in only and proof of service required.

Lowe’s — In addition to a year-round, 10% off discount for veterans and active-duty military and their families and dedicated veterans parking spots at each store, Lowe’s is offering a free collectible pin to the first 150 veteran customers at each store on Veterans Day.

Lucille’s BBQ — On Nov. 10 and 11, veterans and active-duty military receive a free Lucille’s Original Pulled Pork Sandwich and one swoon-worthy side, or a personal size Lucille’s Southern Fried Chicken and two swoon-worthy sides. Active-duty military and veterans will also receive a $10 thank you card while supplies last that is redeemable from Nov. 24 to Dec. 3. Military I.D. or proof of service required.

Macaroni Grill — Veterans and active military receive a free mom’s ricotta meatballs and spaghetti with military ID.

Parry’s Pizzeria & Taphouse — Veterans and active-duty military get a free full-size entrée and fountain drink.

Peet’s Coffee — Free drip coffee or tea to veterans and active-duty military members.

Additionally, Pilot Company is inviting guests to round up** and raise funds to support the Call of Duty Endowment, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting veterans in transitioning to successful civilian careers post-military service.

Red Lobster — Free printed meal vouchers for Veterans Shrimp & Chips, featuring six hand-breaded, butterflied and lightly fried shrimp, served with cocktail sauce, as well as crispy french fries and cole slaw, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time on Nov. 11. Guests only need to show a valid military ID or proof of service to redeem. The voucher can be redeemed beginning Nov. 13 through Dec. 10 for dine-in only.

Scooter’s Coffee — Veterans can receive a free handcrafted drink of any size on Nov. 11.

Shari’s Restaurant — Veterans and active-duty service members can get a free homestyle breakfast on Nov. 11. Dine-in only.

Shane’s Rib Shack — Active-duty and retired military can get a free Slow-Smoked BBQ Pork or Chopped BBQ Chicken Plate on Nov. 9-11. 

Sheetz — On Veterans Day, veterans and active-duty military can enjoy a free 6-inch turkey sub and a regular-size fountain drink at any location. Plus, a free car wash if available.

Shoney’s — A free freshly prepared breakfast bar for all veterans and active-duty military on Veterans Day until 11 a.m. on Veterans Day.

Starbucks — Active-duty service members, reservists, veterans and military spouses are invited to enjoy a free tall (12-ounce) hot or ice brewed coffee at participating stores. Offer valid on café and drive thru orders only. Cold Brew is not included.

Target — Active duty military, veterans and their families can receive 10% off two qualifying store purchases from Oct. 29-Nov. 11. Tijuana Flats — Veterans and active-duty military with valid ID get 50% off all adult entrées on Nov. 11. Valid for in-store and takeout orders.

TravelCenters of America — On Nov. 11, all military service members can eat free at over 170 participating Iron Skillet, Country Pride and other full service restaurants located inside TA and Petro Stopping Center truck stops.

Trout Unlimited — The national nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving, protecting and restoring North America’s coldwater fisheries and their watersheds is offering veterans, active-duty military and reservists a free, one-year trial membership. Visit the website for more information.

USS Lexington Museum on the Bay — The naval aviation museum in Corpus Christi, Texas, will offer free admission to veterans and active-duty military.

Wienerschnitzel — A complimentary chili dog, small fries and small Pepsi at participating locations, with valid military ID or by wearing a military uniform.

World of Beer — From Nov. 7-Nov. 11, veterans can receive a free order of 5 traditional wings with a valid VA card or military ID.

Yard House — Veterans and active-duty military members can get a complimentary appetizer with a valid military ID. Ask your server for details.

Zaxby’s — Free Signature Sandwich or Spicy Signature Sandwich on Nov. 11 for Zax Rewardz members, redeemable through Zaxby’s app. Participating locations only.
