Namur, the capital of Belgium’s predominantly French-speaking Wallonia region, is the site of a six-day festival celebrating the region’s identity.

Through Monday, the Festival of Wallonia offers a mélange of events appealing to a wide range of tastes, from folklore dancing and Latin rhythms to punk and rock concerts.

During the weekend, clowns and street entertainers will amuse visitors and food stands will offer typical regional cuisine. Stilt walkers, who give afternoon performances throughout the city, are a festival highlight.

Find the program at www.fetesdewallonie.be (French only). Other cities hosting events celebrating Walloon culture are Liège and Charleroi.
