RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany — Two airmen were taken to hospitals after being injured Friday while driving in a personal vehicle on a base road, according to an 86th Airlift Wing statement.

The driver was taken to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, and the passenger was transported to a local German hospital. Both airmen are assigned to the 86th Munitions Squadron, the statement said.

Officials did not provide details about the extent of the injuries or the nature of what the statement referred to as an incident. The cause is under investigation.
