RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany — A body was found over the weekend near the Ramstein base passenger terminal, Air Force officials said Monday.

The person was found dead at about 8:15 a.m. Saturday near the long-term parking garage, 86th Airlift Wing officials said in a statement. No foul play is suspected at this time, a base official said.

The garage, in Building No. 3331, is located behind the Kaiserslautern Military Community Center, a high-traffic area that includes the Exchange, dozens of stores and a hotel.

The name of the person found dead won’t be released until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified, officials said. The death is under investigation, base officials said.
