Three-time first-teamer Dylan Measells of three-time European Division I champion Patch headlined the 2012 All-Europe baseball team announced Thursday by DODDS-Europe athletic coordinator Karen Seadore.

Measells, a right-hander who capped his two-year unbeaten streak on the mound by winning the Division I title game for the second straight season, struck out 36 of the 92 batters he faced in 2012. At the plate, he compiled a .788 on-base percentage.

Two-time first-teamers Jon Grotelueschen and Justin Pendergrass of Ramstein, Jack Smith of Patch and Alex Weaver of Heidelberg were joined on the 12-man 2012 first team by three players who made the second 12 in 2011 - Matt Flood and Austin Schmidt of Bitburg and Dustin Labit of Ramstein. Seniors Caleb Guerrido of Ramstein and Ryan Tannenbaum of Patch made the second team for the second straight year.

Sixteen seniors, five juniors, two sophomores and a lone freshman - Vilseck pitcher-first baseman John Bohnemann - make up the 24-player list selected by a panel of baseball coaches chaired by Seadore. The pitching-heavy All-Europe roster - no fewer than 19 of the 24 selectees pitched during 2012 - lists players from 10 schools, six from Division I and four from D-II.
