Noteworthy — Nixon hit a three-point goal with a minute left, then Patsel stole the ball and fed upcourt to Nixon for a layup with 14 seconds left as the Panthers scored the game’s final points to hold off a late Tigers rally. The Panthers led by 21 points in the third quarter, but the Tigers used a 26-3 run to lead 42-40 with 4:03 left. There were six ties and five lead changes in the contest.
