A day after it was announced they were named Guam High’s Athletes of the Year, Andre Johnson and Sameha Wilbanks showed why.

The seniors won all seven events they entered, helping the Panthers capture 17 individual events plus the team titles in Thursday’s Interscholastic Sports Association All-Island track and field meet.

Johnson, a sprinter, took first place in the 100, 200, 400 and ran the lead leg of the Panthers’ 400-meter relay winning team, one of four relays the Panthers won as a school. Wilbank, a distance runner, won the 800, 1,500 and 3,000.

The Panthers swept all six sprint events as well; Kailee Guerrero, a sophomore, dashed to victory in the 100, 200 and 400.
