SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- A classic DODEA-Europe football rivalry was anticlimactically renewed on Saturday as the Spangdahlem Sentinels walloped the Ansbach Cougars 58-0 in a Division III blowout.

The Sentinels, a new addition to the six-man Division III ranks, cemented their spot as this year’s championship favorite at the expense of the Cougars, the champions of the league’s 2018 debut season.

Deon Montgomery visited the end zone six times as part of an impressive eight-carry, 266-yard performance. Adam Jalomo produced 72 rushing yards and two touchdowns on eight carries while Glenn Griggs contributed 60 yards and a touchdown on six carries.

Jalomo led the Spangdahlem defense with 10 tackles, while Chartez Wiley added nine tackles and Griggs made six tackles and a pair of interceptions, which he returned for a combined 64 yards.

Ansbach quarterback Dustin Martin completed 12 passes for 154 yards; Josiah Quinland led the Cougars with 54 receiving yards. Davin Jenkins paced Ansbach with nine tackles.
