BRUSSELS, Belgium – The SHAPE Spartans finished the American Football International League regular season Saturday with a 28-14 victory over the Brussels Daemons.

Junior Brody Wellington passed for 69 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 97 yards and two more scores. Diante Anderson opened the Spartans’ scoring by returning an interception 76 yards for a touchdown.

Wellington had a part in 10 tackles to lead the SHAPE defense, while Thomas McCabe Hefner added 7.5 more and Will Bush six.

SHAPE might make the AFIL playoffs depending on other results from weekend play in the league, comprised mostly of local national club teams.
