RAF ALCONBURY, England - All-Europe wide-out Ben McDaniels ran for one touchdown, and his teammate Devon Farmer broke a 69-yard scoring run Saturday to spark the Baumholder Bucs to a 38-6 victory over Alconbury in a nine-man, D-III football game.

The opening-day victory marked Baumholder’s return to Division III, the category in which the Bucs won the European title as an 11-man team in 2007. The Bucs played Division II every year since.

Alconbury, which got eight tackles from Brendan Johnson and six from Brendan Crowder, scored on a pass from Kevin Beasley to Johnson, according to Alconbury coach Duke Eidt. For the day, Beasley was five-of-12 for 79 yards.

Baumholder next is scheduled to host Sigonella on Saturday; Alconbury is ticketed for a Friday night game at Rota.
