WIESBADEN, Germany — The colors of V Corps were unfurled for probably the last time in Germany Thursday evening after corps commander Lt. Gen. James Terry and his staff returned to Wiesbaden from Afghanistan aboard a U.S. Air Force C-17 aircraft.
Terry and his soldiers were met on the tarmac by U.S. Army Europe commander Lt. Gen. Donald Campbell Jr. and members of his staff.
Following a short ceremony where the colors were uncased and Terry thanked the soldiers for their duty, they were reunited with their families and friends.
V Corps is due to inactivate next month.
