KADENA AIR BASE, Okinawa — Air Force Brig. Gen. S. Kenneth Wilsbach, assistant director of operations, plans, requirements and programs for Headquarters Pacific Air Forces in Hawaii, has been named 18th Wing commander for Kadena Air Base, a news release said.

Wilsbach will replace Brig. Gen. Brett Williams during a change-of-command ceremony July 9, the release said.

Wilsbach is a pilot with more than 3,600 flying hours, and has served as an F-15C instructor pilot with the 94th Squadron at Langley Air Force Base, Va., and as an instructor pilot for the 44th Fighter Squadron at Kadena Air Base, the release said.

According to the U.S. Air Force Web site, Williams will be reassigned to Headquarters U.S. Pacific Command as director of command, control, communications and computer systems at Camp H.M. Smith in Hawaii.

Williams has served as 18th Wing commander for two years.
