YONGSAN GARRISON, South Korea — U.S. Army Garrison-Yongsan has redesigned its Web site (yongsan.korea.army.mil) to bring its look closer to that of the official Army home page and to add easier access to features Web surfers use most.
The change, according to an Army news release, took effect Monday.
The site features more than 100 community events as well as links to community services, a garrison phone directory and Korean-language news releases.
"Our goal is to be the portal of choice for Yongsan community members," Army spokesman David McNally said in the release. "We currently serve more people through our Web site than we do with our newspaper operations."
The site receives more than 20,000 unique visitors each month, according to the release. In addition, the garrison has expanded its Internet presence by hosting pages on YouTube, Facebook and Flickr.
