NAPLES, Italy — A town hall meeting is scheduled Tuesday evening at the Gricignano support site to discuss issues involving the public health assessment.

The first half of the meeting is geared toward newly arrived troops and civilians who are still in temporary lodging facilities while house hunting. Since all newly leased homes are required to have the water systems tested prior to leasing, new personnel have been in temporary billeting longer than expected.

Roughly one-quarter of the homes in the base housing office database fall into what the Navy is now calling "New Lease Suspension Zones," encompassing several towns, including Casal di Principe and Villa Literno. Residents already living in those areas aren’t required to move, but those areas are off limits indefinitely to new leases.

The rest of the meeting will address issues for all residents. The meeting is scheduled to run from 7 to 9 p.m. at the base theater.
