CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — The U.S. Naval Hospital Health and Marine Corps Community Services will host a Kid’s Health Fest from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Foster Community Center Auditorium, according to a U.S. Naval Hospital news release.
More than 30 organizations, including hospital departments such as Family Practice, Pediatrics, Immunizations, Dental, Optometry and Preventive Medicine, will staff health information booths. Semper Fit, MCCS Aquatics, MCCS Youth & Teen Sports and other MCCS organizations will also man booths.

Volunteers needed to clean at sea wallKADENA AIR BASE, Okinawa — The Kadena Marina is looking for volunteers for a beach and underwater cleanup at the Sunabe Sea Wall from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, according to an 18th Services announcement.
The marina will provide collection bags, gloves and tanks for the cleanup.
Volunteers are encouraged to sign up at the Kadena Marine Scuba Locker or call DSN 634-6344, said Ayako Kinjo, with Kadena Marina. Volunteers can also show up the day of the event at the Sunabe Sea Wall.
Speed-dating event needs more womenKADENA AIR BASE, Okinawa — The Schilling Community Center is scheduled to hold its second speed-dating event Saturday but organizers need more women to sign up, according to Lorna Ellis.
Lots of guys have signed up, “but we don’t have enough women yet,” Ellis, an event organizer, said.
Ellis helped organize the first speed-dating event in February and said a few changes have been made.
This time around, the dating will be broken into two sessions, she said. From 6 to 7:30 p.m. will be for those 30 and over and the second session from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. will be for 18- to 29-year-olds.
