Applications for the USA Federal Credit Union’s 2007 Martin P. Cassell Scholarship program now are available.
This year, five $1,500 scholarships will be awarded, according to a USA Federal Credit Union news release. In 2006, the credit union gave out $7,500 in scholarships, including two for $1,500 each to winners at Misawa Air Base, Japan.
The scholarships are named after USA Federal’s former CEO, who died in a car crash in 2000.
Applicants must be college-bound seniors and either a member or the child of a member of USA Federal Credit Union for a year before March 15. Recipients will be notified by the end of the school year.
Go to the credit union Web site at www.usafedcu.org for info and to download the application.
