WASHINGTON — Yet another Saddam Hussein execution video popped up on the Internet yesterday, the New York Daily News reported Saturday.

The former Iraqi leader was hanged Dec. 30.

According to the Daily News, the new cell phone video suggests that an ambulance carrying Saddam’s body to a family burial near Tikrit the next day made a few stops along the way, apparently to show off the trophy corpse. The body is shown splayed out on a gurney in a white cloth body bag in the back of the ambulance, while gawkers crowd around it on a Baghdad street.

Saddam’s head is still twisted to the side, the paper reported, and adds that one man can be shouting, “This is the cursed one,” and another onlooker demands, “Keep it open – take a good picture!”

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s Shiite-majority regime was strongly criticized for allowing supporters of radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr to participate in the hanging, during which they taunted the former dictator, the paper noted.

This month, President Bush said al-Maliki “fumbled” the Butcher of Baghdad’s execution, rating it just below prison abuses at Abu Ghraib among the embarrassing setbacks on Iraq’s road to peace, the Daily News wrote.
