Clarification¶ A Jan. 9 story on the use of Value-Added Tax forms in Europe inaccurately gave the impression that the form could be used for tax relief on household utility bills. Tax relief on utilities is possible for troops living in Germany through the Utility Tax Avoidance Program, which requires a $77 fee to enter. Servicemembers cannot use VAT forms for this purpose.
