YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan — The 374th Mission Support Group conducted a change-of-command ceremony Thursday.

Col. William Story turned over the leadership post to Col. Lee Wyatt, who arrives at Yokota from Langley Air Force Base, Va., where he was chief of the Services Operations Division and Directorate of Installations for Air Combat Command.

Story, the mission support group head since July 2004, has been named an instructor for Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.

The 374th Mission Support Group provides security, communications and computer systems, information management, facilities and repair, logistics, contracting, people programs and quality-of-life services for 11,000 military and civilians.

According to his biography, Wyatt is fifth-generation military and the son of a retired Air Force senior noncommissioned officer.

He was commissioned through Officer Training School in 1985 after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Athens (Ala.) State College.
