CAMP KINSER, Okinawa — Brig. Gen. Peter J. Talleri assumed command of 3rd Marine Logistics Group from Brig. Gen. Frank Panter in a ceremony Friday at Roberts Field.
During Panter’s tenure, the group participated in operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, tsunami relief operations in Sri Lanka and humanitarian assistance efforts in Indonesia, Thailand, Pakistan and the Philippines.
Panter told assembled Marines that Talleri “has his heart in the right place and he is here for you.”
Talleri’s previous assignment was assistant chief of staff for Marine Corps Forces Central Command.
