The USS Blue Ridge pulled into Vladivostok, Russia, on Monday for the first time in four years for a scheduled port visit.

The visit confirms “close, cooperative relationship” between the U.S. Navy and the Russian Pacific fleet, said Vice Adm. Jonathan Greenert, Seventh Fleet commander, in a news release.

While in Vladivostok, the Blue Ridge’s 1,000 crew and staff members will sightsee and do community service projects with their hosts, the release said.
