MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan — The secretary of the Air Force, Michael W. Wynne, will address airmen in Japan this week as part of his first official visit to the Pacific theater since his November swearing-in.
On Friday, he’ll hold an “all airmen” call at Yokota Air Base’s Taiyo Recreation Center, according to the base newspaper. Airmen must be in their seats no later than 8:50 a.m., according to the report. On Saturday, Wynne will speak to airmen at Misawa Air Base in Hangar 911. Airmen are being instructed to be in place there no later than 9:15 a.m. Battle dress uniform or flightsuits are appropriate.
Wynne toured Andersen Air Force Base on Guam earlier this week, where he viewed aircraft and met with senior leaders.
He’s also expected to visit Kadena Air Base on Okinawa as well as Air Force bases in South Korea.
