Nominations are open for the American Humane Society’s annual Hero Dog Awards — and this year, military working dogs can be nominated.

“We encourage all in the military community to nominate your military working dog,” said Robin Ganzert, president and CEO of the American Humane Society. “It’s time for Americans to celebrate these incredible canine heroes.”

Nominations can be made at www.americanhumane.org.
