Military police to run DUI checkpoints in KMC over Labor Day weekend

Military police will conduct DUI checkpoints on installations across the Kaiserslautern Military Community this weekend, according to U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz.

Officials are urging drivers to plan ahead before drinking and to review German driving laws, which differ from U.S. standards.

Germany’s legal blood alcohol content limit is 0.05%. Riding an e-scooter while intoxicated is also considered driving under the influence under German law.
