Authorities are searching for a man suspected of seriously injuring a 10-year-old girl with a knife Thursday in Schallodenbach.

The man, 22, fled after the attack, according to a police statement. He is wanted on suspicion of attempted murder.

The girl’s injuries were not life-threatening, police said. She was treated by paramedics and taken to a hospital.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call 110. Police warned against approaching him.
