Army post offices in the KMC going cashless in August

A hand pulls a credit card from a wallet.

Post offices on U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz installations will no longer accept cash beginning Aug. 1. (LaTunya Howard/U.S. Navy)

Need postage stamps? Mailing a box? Better bring your debit or credit card.

Starting Aug. 1, all Army post offices on U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz installations are going cashless. That includes locations on Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Sembach and Kleber kasernes, Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Baumholder and Germersheim Army Depot.

Air Force post offices on Ramstein Air Base and Kapaun Air Station made the switch a few years ago. Now the Army’s joining the no-cash club.
