The “Stopp Ramstein” peace activists will be conducting their annual rally and march tomorrow in downtown Kaiserslautern, according to local officials.
The rally will kick off at noon at the square in front of the city’s main train station. About 500 people are expected to attend.
The march begins at 1 p.m. and will go down Eisenbahnstrasse to Schillerplatz and return to the train station via Richard-Wagner-Strasse.
The day’s activities are scheduled to end around 4 p.m.
The activists have been protesting what in their opinion is the use of Ramstein Air Base as a hub for conducting war and demanding its closure of for the past decade.
American officials are asking personnel to please avoid the area and to be on the lookout for possible counter demonstrations.
