Ready to make the most of your weekend? From riverside fests to pancake breakfasts with puppies, there’s no shortage of fun in the KMC. Here’s what’s happening June 27-29.

Paws and pancakes: Cuddle with playful puppies while digging into a free pancake breakfast at this feel-good morning bash at the Ramstein Air Base Passenger Terminal on Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. It’s the cutest way to kick off your weekend, one fluffy bite and wagging tail at a time. Free admission.

Riverbank fest: Feast your senses with riverside views, live music and fest treats at this vibrant celebration in Ludwigshafen on Friday from 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. With food, drinks and summer energy flowing along the Rhein, it’s a perfect spot to unwind. Free admission.

Harbor culture fest: Embrace the thrill of the harbor with pirates, ship fire shows and live music at this action-packed festival in Karlsruhe on Friday and Saturday from 1 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Kids and grownups alike will find plenty to explore on land and sea. Free admission.

Fountain fair: Wander through a village of wine and whimsy at this festive fountain celebration in Alsterweiler on Friday from 7 p.m., Saturday from 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. Don’t miss the Wine Princess tapping the ceremonial barrel on Friday to uncork the weekend’s charm. Free admission.

Fortress festival: Step into history with marching soldiers, old-world costumes and nonstop entertainment at this immersive fortress fest in Germersheim on Friday from 5 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from noon to midnight, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight. From car shows to fireworks, there’s something for every era of fun. Free admission.
