Americans hoping to use tomorrow’s Juneteenth holiday to run errands might be out of luck.
It’s also Corpus Christi, a public holiday in much of Germany, meaning most German stores off base, including grocery and home improvement stores, will be closed.
Corpus Christi, a Catholic feast day, celebrates the belief in the real presence of the body and blood of Christ in the Eucharist. It is traditionally marked by church services and processions throughout Germany.
Gas stations, some bakeries and restaurants may remain open, but Americans looking to shop or take care of business off-post should plan accordingly.
The Ramstein and Vogelweh commissaries will be open tomorrow from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
