A new disc golf course is open at Ramstein Air Base after construction wrapped up Saturday.

The Wayne Carlson Disc Golf Course is the first of its kind on Ramstein, according to a statement on the base’s Facebook page. It is located near the dormitories on Mitchell Avenue, across from the installation’s Arts and Crafts Center.

The course is free to use and open to anyone with base access.

Micah Carlson, a Boy Scout from Troop 12, led the project and named the course for his grandfather, according to the statement. Ramstein’s 786th and 86th Civil Engineering Squadrons helped with the build.
