Kanalstrasse in Kaiserlautern’s center will be transformed into a “fan mile” for the local soccer team 1. FC Kaiserslautern during the upcoming Altstadtfest, or old town festival, in celebration of the club’s 125th anniversary.

There will be “hands-on activities, club history to touch and a stage program for fans, families and the curious,” the city said in a statement Tuesday. The festival will take place July 4-6.

Parts of the city center will turn into markets for arts and crafts, and stands will offer a variety of street food. Music will be performed from Spittelstrasse to Mainzer Tor and from Unionsplatz to Salzstrasse.

There will also be a weekend flea market, the statement said.
