Police say a missing 76-year-old from Kaiserslautern has been found.

“The man was found in a park on Wednesday afternoon,” police said in a statement Wednesday. “He is doing well considering the circumstances. He has been handed over to his relatives.”

The man went missing after leaving his apartment in the city’s historic district Tuesday morning around 10:30 a.m.

He had recently moved to Germany and speaks only Russian, is unfamiliar with the area and may have been disoriented, family members said during the search. He was last seen wearing a black tracksuit and sandals and was described as about 5’7” tall with a slim build and graying hair.

He was without identification, a phone, or cash, and has difficulty walking, Westpfalz Police officials said earlier.
