LRMC power is back following outage that shut down appointment line, some offices

()

Landstuhl Regional Medical Center’s power is back after an outage that shut down its appointment center and other offices, hospital officials said at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The appointment hotline will resume operations from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, an alert message said. Patients scheduled for procedures should come as planned.

The hospital announced the earlier power outage at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, with affected multiple offices and led some departments to authorize telework for the day.

Outpatient care continued but trauma cases were to be diverted to German hospitals, according to a hospital memo.

Power was restored shortly after 10 a.m. to at least some offices, employees at LRMC told K-Town Now.

The outage was related to construction at Landstuhl Elementary School, hospital officials said Tuesday afternoon.
