Wine hike, free comedy shows and more to do in the KMC this weekend

There’s plenty to do in the KMC this weekend. “The Spongebob Musical,” a colorful, family-friendly show, wraps up its run with performances Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the KMC Onstage Mainstage on Kleber Kaserne. For tickets and showtimes check out the KMC Onstage’s official website.

Wine enthusiasts should head the the village of Birkweiler this weekend for its wine hike where nine local vintners and caterers will be showing off regional specialties at six stops along the 2-kilometer circular route. The trail opens at 2 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday and Monday, a German holiday.

Try regional dishes, shop at a flower and herb market, and watch live musical performances this Sunday at Lichtenberg Castle’s “Castle Spring” event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Two events are happening this weekend for comedy lovers. First, military spouse and popular comedian Ashley Gutermuth will be hosting a free show at the Kazabra Club on Vogelweh Friday night.
