Soccer fans can look forward to an exciting weekend in the city center May 25 and May 26 during a public viewing of the DFB Trophy final and a reception the following day for 1 FC Kaiserslautern. Both events are free and will be held at Stiftsplatz.

Setup for the public viewing May 25 will begin immediately after the weekly market ends. Gates open at 7 p.m., with kickoff of the match at 8 p.m.

A stage and screen will be set up on the east side of Stiftsplatz in front of the Saks Hotel. The venue can accommodate up to 7,000 people, with access restricted upon reaching capacity.

Food and beverage stalls will be available, and a local radio moderator and DJ will entertain the crowd.

On Sunday, regardless of the outcome, the team will be welcomed on stage at Stiftsplatz. Gates open at 1 p.m., with live music and a host entertaining attendees. The team is expected on stage around 5 p.m., with festivities concluding by 8 p.m.

Again, the celebration hosts up to 7,000 people, with a designated area for people with disabilities.

A free shuttle service will be available on May 26 between the east park-and-ride lot (Schweinsdell) and the city center from noon to 8 p.m., with stops at Messeplatz, where the Kerwe fair will be held from May 24.

Spittelstrasse will be fully closed during event times on both May 25 and May 26.
