Visitor center at Ramstein’s ‘Mario Kart’ gate closed indefinitely


Guests of ID card holders on Ramstein Air Base may only be checked in at the West Gate visitor control center beginning today. The visitor control center at the Rhine Ordnance Barracks-Medical Center gate, also popularly known as the Mario Kart gate for its long twists and turns after clearing the gate, is closed indefinitely, base officials said. The West Gate visitor center is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
